LastColumn = Sheets("Merchants").Range("B" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Rowīot.Get (Sheets("Merchants").Range("B" & i).Value) Have tried using bot.switchtopreviouswindow/nextwindow to no avail, Selenium does not even seem to detect the new tab/window opened as an existing window, also tried using switchwindow using title to no avail. Believe this should be achievable using the Java Selenium, but is there any way to do it through the Selenium Basic wrapper on excel VBA? P.s.I'm working on the Selenium Basic Wrapper for Excel VBA, but upon clicking a button that opens a new tab, I am unable to get the selenium web-driver to switch focus onto the new tab that is opened, and to close the original tab. Uninstalling latest Edge solved the issue 100%

This wasn't random, it was repeatable, whenever I log into my account, the first keyboard "Start" press would work fine, the menu would be focused and the type-to-search would work, but if I press Start again to hide it, and then again Start to open it up (still using keyboard), it wouldn't focus and had to be mouse clicked again, same with new browser windows even if they would be opened with a mouse click from an icon in taskbar, the window would open and start flashing on task bar like it would be asking for attention Oddly enough, if I use mouse to click the start button and start typing on keyboard, the search function would work normally Will now try creating a new key(folder) in regedit with name EdgeUpdate in location Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft, and in there adding a DWORD with name DoNotUpdateToEdgeWithChromium and value 1.just wanted to say thanks for this, solved my problem with apps not receiving focus when opened, my issue was not only with browser windows though, if I used Start button on the keyboard, then the Start menu wouldn't get focus - meaning - I press Start key on keyboard and start typing to search something and it wouldn't search, if I then mouse left click on the already opened start menu somewhere and type something, then the search function would start working as it should Will now try creating a new key(folder) in regedit with name EdgeUpdate in location Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft, and in there adding a DWORD with name DoNotUpdateToEdgeWithChromium and value 1. Will have to wait and see if it auto-installs itself and breaks other programs again.Įdge resintalled itself, bringing the problem with it. Setup -uninstall -force-uninstall -system-level Uninstall button for edge was greyed out in the new shitty settings app, and not present in the trusty ol' control panel.įound some cmd commands that did it though, open as admin and paste these two lines:Ĭd %PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\Microsoft\Edge\Application\8*\Installer Just tried uninstalling edge, and it now seems to work normally. Someone on another forum noticed this started after edge auto-installed itself, and when thinking about it, that seems about right for me too. By muscle memory i just start typing after opening a new window, thinking its in the search bar, only to find out it opens new windows everytime i hit space.Įnding up with multiple windows of nothing.
